Doo-wop is a style of vocal-based rhythm and blues music, which was started in the black community and became popular in the mid- 1950's to the early 1960's. The Doo Wop Sound is also known as a type of R&B founded concord vocalizing that uses phonetic syllables for rhythm and intricate harmonic arrangements.
